What We Support

ERC at the Harris Library from Frozen North by TEC

1. free from outside control; not subject to another’s authority

2. not depending on another for livelihood or subsistence

We prioritise support for independent practitioners, companies & organisations. To enable people who have committed to and invested in plying their creative trade in our City. PCP promotes a sustainable approach to this backed up by peer support that enables us to pass on skills, information & insight to each other.

1. relating to or involving the use of the imagination or original ideas to create something.

1. a person whose job involves creative work.

Our understanding of creative is extremely broad and open to all of the variants that might be defined now as a creative practice. We are also aware of the importance of enabling individuals & groups who curate, organise events, manage & produce and run venues within the Preston creative scene.

1. a large town.

We think that our sector is crucial in determining what makes Preston special and different from all other cities. PCP want to raise the bar and promote the quality of our creative offer to the city and therefore improve the cities creative status within the North West. Developing a narrative through which Preston can promote itself to the world as a confident creative place.
